Food: Helmed by British celebrity chef Jason Atherton and his Cebu born wife Irha, The Pig & Palm serves Spanish tapas style dishes with Cebuan ingredients. Dishes are available in small and large sharing portions, so come with a friend or larger party.
Service: Warm and friendly staff who know the menu well and bring out your food promptly.
Must try: The truffle Mac n’ Cheese with glazed chicken and toasted breadcrumbs; roast suckling pig with soya onion gravy, apple and mustard leaf, and pan-fried grouper with cauliflower, raisin and capers are so tasty you might need seconds! The Milk & honey, goat’s cheese ice-cream is also a real treat. If you’re thirsty, drop by the adjoining bar for fancy cocktails like the McBanDaq made with white rum, fresh banana, banana liqueur, condensed milk and root beer.
Ambience: Designed by internationally acclaimed Shanghai-based architecture and interior design studio Neri & Hu, the restaurant is decked in warm dark wood and has four sections – an open plan dining floor with tables and bar counter seats; an outdoor alfresco area, a long bar, and a row of private and cosy booth seats. The overall effect is intimate, casual yet elegant.
