Food: The newest restaurant in Hong Kong by New York based, French chef Laurent Tourondel is an elegant yet relaxed American style steakhouse that also offers a selection of lighter, lower-calorie seafood and vegetarian options. Helmed by Executive Chef A.J. Guido, BLT Steak is great choice for family gatherings or business lunches, where meat lovers can expect juicy USDA quality cuts like filet, ribeye, New York strip and Porterhouse cooked to their likely here. The high-grade Black Angus cuts are so full of natural flavour, they’re good enough to eat sans sauce or condiments. The restaurant also has a stellar selection of single malt scotch, whiskies and wines.

Service: Friendly, prompt and efficient.

Must try: Starters like the hamachi yuzu kosho with Thai chili, lime zest and avocado, the crispy calamari and zucchini, and the Wagyu beef tartare with truffle are ideal for sharing. Standout entrees include the black garlic charred short ribs with Jalapeno chimichurri and grated horseradish, the American USDA Porterhouse, which is large enough for two, and for pescatarians, the Norwegian salmon with shelling bean, fregola, cerignola olive, confit lemon aioli. If you still have room, order the ridiculously addictive crepe soufflé with passion fruit sauce or the refreshing, citrusy and light New York cheesecake with grapefruit sorbet for dessert.

Ambience: In the day, you can dine alfresco and enjoy views of the Victoria Harbour as you tuck into the restaurant’s lunch buffet. In the evenings, soft mood lighting and warm leather, wood and chandeliers that look like gas-lamps transport you to a prohibition-era Manhattan speakeasy.
